Speaker: Inter-parliamentary collaboration key to Azerbaijan-Belarus relations
Chairman of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, welcomed Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Andrei Ravkov, as he concluded his diplomatic tenure in the country.
During the meeting, both sides acknowledged Ravkov's significant contributions to strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus, highlighting the friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation shared by the two nations, Caliber.Az reports referring to local media.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Belarus share a relationship founded on the principles of friendship, encompassing cooperation across all spheres.
Both parties acknowledged the crucial role that high-level relations between the presidents of the two nations play in fostering these ties. They also highlighted that regular mutual visits and ongoing political dialogue significantly contribute to the advancement of bilateral cooperation.
Inter-parliamentary relations were highlighted as an integral aspect of bilateral ties. It was emphasized that the legislative bodies of Azerbaijan and Belarus work closely, both in direct bilateral settings and within international parliamentary frameworks.
Ambassador Andrei Ravkov expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure in Azerbaijan. He also voiced optimism about the continued growth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
