Sri Lanka grants visa-free entry to Belarusian citizens
Sri Lanka will introduce visa-free travel for citizens of Belarus beginning May 25, in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and boosting cooperation between the two countries.
The announcement comes as Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is scheduled to hold talks with Vijitha Herath, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
According to officials, the meeting agenda will focus on expanding cooperation and outlining practical measures to deepen engagement across a range of sectors.
The two countries previously signed an air services agreement, marking another step toward closer economic and diplomatic relations. The upcoming visa-free regime is expected to further facilitate travel, tourism, and business exchanges between Sri Lanka and Belarus.
