All victims are receiving free medical treatment under the country’s SIS public insurance system.
Emergency response teams were quickly deployed, with eight SAMU units and firefighters arriving at the scene. The national health emergency coordination centre, COES Salud, is overseeing the medical response.
Health Minister officials also visited hospitals to assess the situation firsthand and monitor the care being provided. Most of the injured have been diagnosed with multiple traumas, and medical teams continue to treat patients while assessing their individual conditions.
