Starlink to file regular reports in Azerbaijan as part of compliance efforts

Starlink Azerbaijan LLC is set to commence regular reporting on various facets of its operations to the relevant authorities in Azerbaijan, as part of regulatory oversight and cooperation with national institutions.

This development was confirmed following a virtual meeting between representatives of the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA) and the satellite communications provider, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The meeting was attended by Rebecca Hunter, Starlink’s Director of Market Access, as well as representatives of Starlink Azerbaijan. Discussions centered on the format and structure of the reports that Starlink will be required to submit, including guidelines for submission and other regulatory considerations.

“The sides discussed the reporting formats that the satellite communications operator will submit to the Agency, the rules for their submission, and other important matters,” ICTA noted in an official statement.

Additionally, Starlink officials were briefed on the operational mandate of ICTA and the broader telecommunications landscape in Azerbaijan, as the company works to align its services with national standards and policies.
