Status of Iran’s latest nuclear site in Isfahan unknown, says IAEA chief

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) lacks information on the status of Iran’s new uranium enrichment facility in Isfahan, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said on March 18, according to Iranian media.

“It is underground, but we haven’t visited it yet,” Grossi told reporters in Washington.

He added that the site is part of an underground nuclear complex and that the agency has so far been unable to conduct inspections.

Grossi is in Washington for a conference and is meeting with officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump.
