Strong 6.0 quake strikes central Philippines

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck the central Philippines on May 4, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The quake was recorded at a depth of 56 kilometres at 08:09 CET (10:09 Baku time). Its epicentre was located around 8 kilometres south-south-east of the Philippine municipality of Sulat and approximately 75 kilometres north-north-east of the city of Panalanoy, which has a population of about 189,000.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage following the tremor. No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake.
