Strong earthquake strikes Indonesia’s Flores Island

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Indonesia’s Flores Island, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reports.
The tremor was recorded on August 20 at 10:46 a.m. local time.
The epicentre was located 32 kilometres northeast of Ruteng, a city with a population of 34,500, and 81 kilometres northeast of Labuan Bajo, which has about 188,000 residents. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres.
No casualties or damage have been reported.
