Student minibus overturns on winding road in southeastern Türkiye

A service minibus transporting students from surrounding villages to the district centre overturned on May 23 early morning on a winding road near Çeşme Kaymakamlığı in southeastern Türkiye.

The accident occurred on a challenging stretch of road, leading to injuries sustained by the driver and 13 students aboard the vehicle, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Emergency medical teams quickly responded to the scene, providing immediate care before transferring the injured to Şemdinli State Hospital. Authorities have assured the public that none of those hurt are in critical condition. An official investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident, with local officials emphasizing road safety in the region.
