Kakha Kaladze and eight rivals vie for Tbilisi mayoral seat
Nine candidates have officially registered for the local government elections in Tbilisi, according to Georgian media cited by Caliber.Az.
The contenders for the capital’s mayoral post are:

Temur Bokelavadze (election number 1) – “Language, Fatherland, Faith”

Zurab Makharadze (election number 3) – “Conservatives for Georgia”

Kakha Kukava (election number 7) – “Free Georgia”

Otar Chitanava (election number 8) – “Alliance of Patriots”

Irakli Kupradze (election number 9) – “For Strong Georgia - Lelo”

Giorgi Liluashvili (election number 11) – “Georgia”

Giorgi Gachechiladze (election number 12) – “Green Party”

Iago Khvichia (election number 36) – “Girchi”

Kakha Kaladze (election number 41) – “Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia”
To win the Tbilisi mayoral election outright, a candidate must secure more than 50 per cent of the vote.
If no candidate surpasses this threshold, a second round will be held between the top two vote-getters.
