Türkiye extradites eight fugitives wanted internationally
As a result of coordinated efforts by Türkiye’s law enforcement agencies, eight individuals wanted under international and national warrants have been arrested and extradited, Caliber.Az reports.
According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who shared the news on his account on X, six of the detainees were on Interpol’s Red Notice list, while two others were wanted nationally. The arrests and extraditions were carried out from Georgia, Germany, Albania, Croatia, and Iran.
The charges against them include intentional bodily harm, aggravated robbery, drug trafficking, sexual offences, theft, resisting law enforcement officers, and illegal possession of firearms.
The operation was conducted with the participation of the Interpol–Europol Department of Türkiye’s Interior Ministry, as well as anti-narcotics, intelligence, and public order units.
Minister Yerlikaya expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Justice and all personnel involved in the operation.
