Georgia’s airports have reported a sharp increase in air traffic, reaching a record high in the first eight months of 2025.
According to the Civil Aviation Agency, Georgian airports handled 24,915 passenger and cargo flights between January and August, a 15% rise compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports.
The country’s three international airports—located in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi—are currently operating around 700 flights per week.
Passenger numbers also grew significantly. Nearly 5.64 million travelers passed through Georgian airports during the eight-month period, marking a 14% year-on-year increase.
