Supreme Court leaders of Azerbaijan and China explore judicial collaboration PHOTO
Inam Kerimov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, visited the Chinese city of Hangzhou on April 22-23.
According to a statement from the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan shared with local media, during his visit, Kerimov held a significant bilateral meeting with Zhang Jun, Chairman of the Supreme People's Court of China, Caliber.Az reports.
Kerimov shared detailed insights on the ongoing judicial and legal reforms in Azerbaijan. Both leaders emphasised the importance of mutual exchange of experiences in the judicial system and discussed various topics of mutual interest. They also explored future opportunities for strengthening judicial cooperation between the two nations.
Additionally, Kerimov participated in the 20th session of the chairpersons of the Supreme Courts of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states. The session was focused on expanding judicial cooperation within the framework of the SCO.
As a result of the session, the chairpersons of the SCO member states' Supreme Courts signed a joint declaration, marking a significant step toward enhanced cooperation in the judicial sphere.
