Suspicious package thrown at Russian embassy in Greece

An unknown person threw a suspicious package at the building of the Russian embassy in Greece.

The police detained the person, Gazeta.Ru reports.

"Today [April 24] a suspicious package was thrown on the territory of the embassy. The police have detained the person who threw the package and are investigating [the case]," the statement said.

Earlier, it was reported that a package with unspecified contents was thrown near the Russian Consulate-General in Thessaloniki and police blocked the street on which the building is located.
