Sweden, Poland deepen military ties with new Baltic Sea Pact

Sweden and Poland have taken a significant step toward closer defence integration by signing the Baltic Sea Pact, aimed at enhancing military cooperation and regional security.

The agreement provides for joint operational planning, the conduct of military exercises, intelligence sharing, and strengthened deterrence across the Baltic Sea region, Affarsvarlden reports.

In an official statement, the Swedish government said the two countries also plan to deepen cooperation in the defence industry and defence technologies, with the goal of reinforcing the Baltic region's resilience to external threats.
