Sweden rules out sending Gripen jets to Ukraine

Sweden does not intend to transfer Gripen fighters to Ukraine.

According to UNIAN, this was announced by Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson at a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Alexei Reznikov.

“There are no plans to send Gripen aircraft, to be honest,” Jonsson said.

At the same time, he noted that the new package of assistance to Ukraine from Sweden provides for the supply of modern air defence systems.
