Swedish parliament backs sending servicemen to Sudan to help with evacuation

The Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) has supported the government's proposal to send military personnel of the embassy and other subjects of the kingdom to Sudan to help organize the evacuation.

All parties voted in favour of the decision, TASS reports.

The cabinet can send a maximum of 400 military personnel to help with the evacuation of Swedish and foreign nationals.

The mission will be conducted jointly with other countries and international organisations.
