Switzerland signals readiness to host peace talks on Ukraine
Switzerland has expressed its willingness to host negotiations aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, should diplomatic conditions align to make such talks viable.
Speaking at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin, Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter reaffirmed her country’s longstanding tradition of neutrality and its readiness to contribute meaningfully to international peace efforts, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Switzerland is ready to support the search for a peaceful solution, including being willing to host negotiations and share its expertise,” President Keller-Sutter stated.
She further noted that Geneva—a city with a rich history of diplomatic engagement—could serve as the venue for such talks.
