Syrian-American Business Forum debuts amid push for economic recovery

The first Syrian-American Business Forum opened in Damascus on July 13, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and investors from Syria and the United States to explore opportunities for expanding bilateral economic cooperation and attracting investment.

Held at the Dama Rose Hotel, the forum is organized by Syria's Ministry of Economy and Industry in cooperation with the Syrian-American Business Council. The event has drawn representatives from Syrian government ministries, business executives, and trade officials from both countries, SANA reports.

The forum comes as Syria seeks to revitalize its economy and deepen engagement with international partners, with discussions centered on economic recovery, the government's reform agenda, and investment opportunities across key sectors.

Participants are also expected to examine ways to strengthen economic ties between Syria and the United States, improve the country's investment climate, and foster new business partnerships through closer private-sector cooperation.

In addition, the event aims to attract international capital and expertise to support Syria's reconstruction and long-term economic development by providing a platform for dialogue between policymakers and private-sector representatives from both countries.
