Syrian authorities unveil comprehensive plan for national reconstruction
Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar has announced that the country’s authorities are working on a comprehensive plan aimed at rebuilding Syria.
Al-Shaar emphasized that the reconstruction effort will involve not only the Syrian people but also support from friendly nations, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
“We are now developing a comprehensive plan to start rebuilding Syria together with the Syrian people and friendly countries,” Al-Shaar said. He acknowledged that the formation of the republic's new government is merely the first step in what he described as a challenging and lengthy journey toward recovery.
On the night of April 3, reports emerged of violent clashes between security forces loyal to Syria's new authorities and armed supporters of former President Bashar al-Assad in Aleppo province. The confrontations took place near the Palestinian refugee camp Neirab, located southeast of Aleppo city.
This incident follows a similar attack on April 1, when a security patrol from the new government’s forces was fired upon by Assad's supporters on the outskirts of Damascus. These developments indicate escalating tensions between the current Syrian leadership and those still loyal to Assad.
Earlier, the new Syrian authorities had formally requested the extradition of Bashar al-Assad from Russia, further intensifying the political rift within the country. The clashes and calls for Assad's extradition reflect the ongoing internal struggles as the new authorities work to consolidate control and assert their governance.
