Syzran refinery latest target in Ukraine’s long-range operations, says Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Russian Syzran oil refinery has become the target of a new Ukrainian “long-range sanctions operation.”
“Yet another long-range sanctions operation targeting Russia’s oil refining sector has been carried out, and we remain committed to this course of action. This time, the target was the Syzran Oil Refinery, located more than 800 kilometres from our border. I extend my gratitude to the personnel of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces for their exceptional precision,” Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel.
To note, two drones have today crashed in different parts of Syzran, Russia's Samara region, including near the city’s river port and close to a major oil refinery
