Taiwan notices 20 approaching Chinese warplanes

Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence has announced that 20 aircraft and other aerial vehicles from the Chinese People's Liberation Army were flying near the island.

The aircraft crossed the so-called median line of the Taiwan Strait and reached the air defence identification zone of the island. Among those aircraft were J-10, J-11, J-16, Su-30 fighter jets, H-6 strategic bombers, KJ-500 early warning aircraft, Y-8 and Y-9 multi-role aircraft, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, TASS reports citing the ministry’s statement.
