Tajani: Ukraine peace process should include Italy and Poland
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to include Italy and Poland in the peace process aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine, ANSA reports.
Tajani said European countries should participate in the negotiations collectively rather than through limited groups of states. He argued that Kyiv should take into account the interests and positions of all European Union members instead of focusing only on selected countries in the region.
“I am telling Zelenskyy, giving him advice as a friend of Ukraine: it would be good to involve not only France and Germany, but also Italy and Poland,” Tajani said.
The Italian foreign minister also stressed that the international community must work toward achieving a just peace.
