Tajikistan backs diplomatic solution to Persian Gulf crisis
Tajikistan and Bahrain have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties following talks in Dushanbe between Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Bahrain’s Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs Yasser bin Ibrahim Humaidan. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation across key sectors while also addressing regional stability in the Persian Gulf.
According to the press service of the Tajik president, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors, including the economy, trade, investment, tourism, and the development of modern infrastructure. The two sides also discussed cooperation on climate-related issues.
During the talks, President Rahmon reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support for efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in the Persian Gulf region, emphasizing the importance of taking into account the interests of all countries involved.
