Tajikistan’s president set for state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26–27
Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26–27 at the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Tajik presidential press service announced.
The visit will include high-level talks and the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council, chaired by the leaders of both countries. Discussions will focus on further strengthening Uzbek-Tajik friendship, good-neighbourly relations, strategic partnership, and alliance.
Leaders are set to address political dialogue, expanded trade and economic cooperation, interregional collaboration, industrial partnerships, transport connectivity, water and energy security, and continued cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The visit will also include exchanges on key international and regional issues, coordination in multilateral formats, the launch of new joint projects, and the signing of a package of bilateral agreements aimed at deepening comprehensive cooperation.
