Taliban deputy premier urges Russian businessmen to invest in Afghanistan
Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in Afghanistan's interim government, formed by the Taliban, has called on Russian businessmen to explore investment opportunities in the Afghan economy.
Baradar made this appeal during a meeting in Kabul with representatives from the business communities of both countries, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
In a post on his X page, the deputy prime minister highlighted that Afghanistan, despite its poverty, holds significant potential for trade and investment due to its rich natural resources. He encouraged both national and foreign investors to capitalize on these opportunities.
Baradar assured the attendees of his complete cooperation on all related matters, expressing a strong commitment to fostering business ties. The report also noted that Russian businessmen showed keen interest in investing in various sectors of Afghanistan's economy, particularly in industry, and voiced their intentions to expand trade cooperation with Afghan counterparts.
