Taliban: US drones violating Afghanistan's airspace

The interim Afghan government said on March 30 that US military drones are patrolling and "violating" Afghanistan’s airspaces.

"These aircraft undoubtedly belong to the US, flying and crossing from the airspace of some neighbouring countries to Afghanistan," Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said while speaking to Kabul-based TOLO news, according to Anadolu Agency.

"Everyone should understand their responsibilities in this matter and stop the aggression," he said.

Mujahid also stressed that the Taliban have repeatedly protested this issue and asked the US to take it seriously.

Earlier, there were reports from certain sources indicating that drones had been observed conducting patrols over Kandahar and Nimroz provinces in the past few days.
