The tanker URSUS MARITIMUS, which came under attack by Ukrainian kamikaze drones in the port of Taman on the night of December 21–22, has been spotted in Istanbul, according to the Russian Telegram channel Voyennyy Osvedomitel.
Visible damage can be observed on the vessel, presumably sustained as a result of the strike.
On the night of December 21–22, 2025, Ukrainian drones reportedly struck the Tamanneftegaz marine oil terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region, located at the port of Taman on the Black Sea. According to Russian regional authorities, the attack damaged a pipeline, two berths and two vessels at the terminal, in addition to injuring port infrastructure. The Ukrainian side has not publicly detailed specific targets in this incident.
The tanker URSUS MARITIMUS was identified by open-source reporting as one of the vessels in the area at the time of the strike. Later imagery and video from Istanbul showed the tanker with visible signs of impact damage, suggesting it may have been affected during the incident in Taman.
