Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that by 2050, one in four people in the world will be African.
She made the statement during a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“By 2050, every fourth person on this planet will be African. Africa will remain the only continent in the world that will continue to provide global labour on a large scale,” the Tanzanian president emphasized.
Hassan also added that nine of the world’s 20 fastest-growing economies will be located in Africa, and that the continent’s middle class will exceed one billion people.
