Tashkent metro weighs Chinese trains for fleet expansion
The Tashkent Metro is negotiating the possible use of Chinese trains in Uzbekistan, Tashkent Metro Deputy Head Yuldash Yusupov said.
According to him, metro employees regularly visit countries with developed underground transit systems to study technologies, operating conditions and the organization of safe transportation. In this regard, specialists have examined the experience of Europe, Türkiye, Russia and Kazakhstan, Caliber.Az reports via Uzbek media.
Particular attention is being paid to China, where specialists are studying infrastructure, production processes and new types of rolling stock.
Representatives of the Tashkent Metro are assessing the convenience of Chinese trains and the possibility of introducing them in Uzbekistan. Negotiations are currently underway on cooperation and the potential operation of new carriages manufactured in China.
