Tasnim: Back-channel Iran-US talk claims part of “enemy plot”
Iranian news agency Tasnim has dismissed claims of back-channel negotiations between Tehran and Washington, describing them as part of an “enemy strategy” aimed at creating divisions within Iran.
In an editorial published on March 24, Tasnim argued that proposals for secret talks involving only a segment of Iran’s political establishment represent a “complex plot by the enemy” designed to undermine national unity during the ongoing war.
It also rejected reports that emerged on March 23 suggesting that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf might be involved in negotiations, stating that such claims were meant to provoke internal political strife.
The editorial emphasised that Iran already has a unified strategy, approved by all branches of government, for how the country should act in the event of exiting the war.
