Tasnim: Iran expresses deep skepticism over US amid nuclear negotiations
Iran remains deeply cautious about the United States despite ongoing diplomatic talks between the two countries, according to Iranian media outlet Tasnim News Agency.
The agency said that while negotiations are continuing, the two sides have not yet reached a final agreement, with significant differences persisting on several key issues.
Even the possible conclusion of preliminary understandings would not alter Tehran’s broader stance toward Washington or improve its confidence in the US administration’s ability to uphold any commitments, Tasnim said.
“The Americans have a very poor reputation when it comes to negotiations, which reinforces and deepens the sense of pessimism,” the report stated.
Tasnim also emphasised that Iran would continue to closely monitor US actions even if a formal agreement is eventually reached, signaling ongoing mistrust between the two sides.
Tehran has further warned that if Washington fails to meet its obligations, Iran would retain what it described as “levers of pressure” and other options for potential retaliatory measures.
