Tbilisi opens memorial book for victims of Isfahan attacks
The Iranian Embassy in Tbilisi has opened a condolence book for Georgian citizens wishing to express support for Iranians of Georgian descent.
The initiative commemorates the innocent victims of the recent military conflict, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The condolence book is set to be transferred to the Fereydan Historical Museum, which preserves the heritage of the local Georgian-descendant community.
Ten Iranian Georgians—descendants of 17th-century settlers—were killed during attacks on residential areas of Isfahan on March 26. Among the victims were members of the Khutsishvili, Baratashvili, Onikashvili, Aslanishvili, and Sepiashvili families.
The embassy’s initiative allows citizens to publicly express solidarity and support for the bereaved families, highlighting the enduring historical and cultural ties between Georgia and the Georgian community in Iran.
