Teen arrested in Israel on suspicion of terror activity

Israeli authorities have detained a minor from the city of Taybeh following a joint operation by the Central District Police and the Shin Bet security service, the Israel Police press office stated.

Intelligence gathered by the Shin Bet indicated that the teenager was allegedly affiliated with a terrorist organization and had been involved in planning attacks targeting Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel.

Investigators concluded that the suspect’s activities constituted a concrete threat to the security of Israeli forces. While a full criminal prosecution cannot be pursued at this stage, officials stated that the available intelligence points to significant involvement and potential danger.

In light of these findings, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz signed an administrative detention order against the minor.
