Tehran sees Trump as bluffing on future military action, US senator says

US Senator Lindsey Graham has stated that Iran believes President Donald Trump is bluffing when it comes to potential future military actions, according to a post on X.

According to the senator, Iran’s continued attacks on international shipping and US allies speak for themselves regarding the nature of its leadership.

“Iran’s continued attacks on international shipping and against our allies tells me all I need to know about who we are dealing with here. 

President Trump’s overview of how past presidents have missed the mark in dealing with the Iranian terrorist regime is spot on.  It is apparent to me that Iran believes that President Trump is bluffing when it comes to future military options. From my understanding of the situation, that could be a disastrous mistake by the Iranian leadership,” Graham wrote.

In a later post, he said it was “time to change course.”

“I appreciate President Trump’s earnest efforts to seek a diplomatic solution to change the behavior of the Iranian terrorist regime. However, between their constant attacks on international shipping, the persistent attacks on our Middle Eastern allies and now a totally unacceptable response to America’s diplomatic proposal, it is in my view, time to consider changing course,” he added.
