Jerusalem terror attack: Five killed on crowded bus VIDEO / Updated
At least five people have been killed and seven others seriously injured after a shooting on a passenger bus in Jerusalem on September 8.
Several additional passengers sustained light to moderate injuries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media.
The attack occurred at Ramot Junction, on Yigael Yadin Street, when two assailants reportedly opened fire on the crowded bus. Israeli emergency services rushed to the scene, providing medical assistance and transporting the injured to nearby hospitals.
According to the Israeli Defence Ministry, the attackers used improvised Carlo submachine guns, weapons often manufactured illegally in the West Bank.
“This type of firearm has been used in numerous Palestinian attacks in the past,” the ministry said. Both attackers were neutralised at the scene, though their identities have not yet been confirmed.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, while security forces have increased their presence in the area to prevent further attacks.
