Tesla recalls nearly 219,000 vehicles in US
Tesla is recalling 218,868 vehicles in the United States due to a rearview camera issue that could increase the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on May 6.
The regulator said the rearview camera display in affected vehicles may be delayed when the car is put into reverse, potentially reducing driver visibility, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The recall applies to certain Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X models.
Tesla has issued an over-the-air software update to fix the problem, according to the NHTSA.
Separately, the agency last month closed an investigation into approximately 2.6 million Tesla vehicles over a feature allowing cars to be moved remotely, concluding that it was linked only to low-speed incidents.
