‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Franchise Surpasses $1 Billion at the Box Office

According to Variety, the sequel, released by Disney and 20th Century Studios in May 2026, has already grossed an impressive $676 million worldwide. Combined with the $326 million earned by the original 2006 film, the fashion-world franchise has officially joined the billion-dollar club.

The sequel’s production budget is estimated at $100 million, while marketing costs reportedly amounted to a further $80 million.

Set 20 years after the events of the first film, The Devil Wears Prada 2 follows Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, as she returns to Runway magazine as an editor working once again under the legendary Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Meryl Streep.
