Three journalists killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanon and Gaza PHOTO
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) strongly condemned the deaths of at least three journalists in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip as a result of Israeli strikes in a single day.
According to the organisation, at least one of the incidents appeared to be a targeted attack.
On Wednesday, Israel carried out strikes on the Gaza Strip and Lebanese territory, resulting in the deaths of journalists Mohammed Samir Washah, Ghada Dayekh, and Suzan Khalil. These events marked a significant escalation in attacks on media personnel.
Mohammed Samir Washah, a correspondent for the Qatari channel Al Jazeera Mubasher, was killed in Gaza City when a drone struck his car. In Lebanon, separate airstrikes killed Ghada Dayekh, a presenter at Sawt Al-Farah radio station, and Suzan Khalil, a reporter and presenter for Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour radio.
The incidents occurred amid intensified Israeli bombings across Lebanon. Reports indicate that just hours after a ceasefire was announced between Iran, Israel, and the United States, more than 100 strikes were carried out within minutes.
