TikTok blocks Sputnik Kyrgyzstan account
The account of the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan agency on the TikTok social network has been blocked today by the decision of the platform administration.
Representatives of the agency claim that the account was blocked “for no reason” and do not give the exact wording of the moderators of the service, according to Kommersant.
“It’s a pity, of course, the editorial work. We think that political motives played the main role,” editor-in-chief Erkin Alymbekov said in his message on the occasion of deleting a TikTok account. He is sure that Sputnik Kyrgyzstan did not post materials that contradicted the rules of the platform.
It is specified that over 100 thousand people were subscribed to the account. Prior to this, the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan account, along with all channels associated with Sputnik or RT, was permanently blocked on YouTube. The administration of the video hosting began blocking Russian state-owned media after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
TikTok yesterday blocked the account of the German-language TV channel RT DE for violating community rules, deleting all videos and subscribers.
