Top Azerbaijani cleric to attend global forum in Uzbekistan

Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, is set to visit Uzbekistan on July 6 to attend an international religious forum, the organisation told Azerbaijani media.

The visit is aimed at participating in the First International Islamic Forum titled “Islamic civilisation: the path of peace, tolerance and enlightenment,” which will take place from July 7 to 11 in Tashkent and Samarkand.

The event is being organised by the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) in cooperation with the Centre of Islamic Civilisation of Uzbekistan.
