TotalEnergies suspends oil production in Middle East

French energy giant TotalEnergies has halted oil and gas production in Qatar, Iraq, and offshore UAE fields, the company announced in a statement.

“Production has been halted or is in the process of being halted in Qatar, Iraq, and the UAE offshore, which accounts for approximately 15% of our total output,” TotalEnergies said.

The company added that its onshore oil production in the UAE, totaling roughly 210,000 barrels per day, remains unaffected by the regional conflict. This output continues to be exported through the Fujairah terminal.
