Traffic accident in Baku, Azerbaijan sparks major fire, three injured VIDEO

The 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported a traffic accident on Bakir Chobanzada Street in Baku’s Nizami district, resulting in a major fire.

Fire brigades from the State Fire Service promptly arrived at the scene, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) press service.

Authorities confirmed that a Volkswagen and a Porsche collided and then struck a roadside gas pipeline, causing the fire. The blaze was extinguished quickly, and the vehicles, the nearby forested area, and the surrounding territory were protected from damage.

Preliminary reports indicate that three people were injured. Two received on-site first aid, while the Porsche driver was hospitalised.
