Tragedy in New York: 11-year-old Uzbek girl fatally struck by school bus VIDEO
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York reported a tragic incident in Brooklyn, in which 11-year-old Uzbek citizen Amira Aminova lost her life.
According to CBC News, the accident occurred on February 5. The girl was crossing an intersection at a pedestrian crossing when she was struck by a school bus turning right. Her injuries proved fatal.
In an official statement, the consulate expressed deep condolences to Amira’s mother and family. The consulate is in ongoing contact with the family and is cooperating with New York authorities, confirming its readiness to provide all necessary assistance.
An investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy is underway, and authorities are addressing related organizational matters.
