Transnistria confirms 3 terrorist attacks Targets: "state security" building, military unit, radio and TV centre
The so-called "Security Council" of Transnistria has confirmed three terrorist attacks on the territory of the unrecognized republic on April 25-26, TASS reports.
“Three attacks were observed. The building of the “Ministry of State Security” in Tiraspol, the military unit near Parcani village and the two communication towers near Maiac settlement were damaged,” the press service of the “president” of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky said.
“The level of danger is recognized as critical. A decision was made to introduce a red level of terrorist threat in the country, which envisages the adoption of additional measures to ensure the security of the individual, society and the state,” the press service of the "president" said.
According to the message, the red level of terrorist danger implies preparation of forces and military equipment for a counter-terrorist operation, strengthening of the protection of facilities in which a terrorist attack is most likely to be committed, strengthening of control over the movement of vehicles across the borders of the region, and inspection when crossing the border.
“The urgent measures will also be taken for the possible evacuation of people, the reception of those suffered as a result of attacks, rendering of emergency psychological assistance, the protection of property which was left without control,” the message said.
“Some schools in Transnistria are operating online after the terrorist attacks. The educational institutions have been transferred to distance learning until the end of the academic year,” the message said.
