Trump announces ramp-up of Patriot, Tomahawk missile production

US President Donald Trump announced at the White House that Washington is expanding the production of Patriot air defence systems and Tomahawk cruise missiles.

“The spirit that we have and they are building, some of them are building 6 or 7 plants right now to make the Patriots and Tomahawk,” he said.

The American leader described the weapons systems as “incredible.”

Trump also stated that Iran recently launched 111 missiles at a US aircraft carrier, claiming none of them reached their target. “Think of that, 5 years ago, things like that would've been impossible,” he added.
