Trump appoints Pulte as acting Director of National Intelligence
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the appointment of William J. Pulte as acting Director of National Intelligence, while Pulte will continue to serve in his existing roles overseeing federal housing finance institutions.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said Pulte, who currently leads the Federal Housing Finance Agency and chairs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, will take on the intelligence position while retaining his current responsibilities, Caliber.Az reports.
“William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago. During this period, he will remain Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Chairman of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Congratulations to Director Pulte!” Trump wrote.
