Trump approval rating drops to 37% as survey shows sharp decline
The approval rating of US President Donald Trump has dropped to 37%, according to a joint survey by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos.
The poll shows that 62% of Americans disapprove of his performance, which is described as the highest level of disapproval across his two presidential terms.
According to the results, 66% of respondents oppose Trump’s approach to Iran, while 33% support it. His economic policy receives approval from only 34% of those surveyed, with the publication linking the decline to rising gasoline prices.
Support for his handling of inflation has fallen further, down to 27%.
Among Republican voters, approval remains high at 85%. However, among independent voters leaning toward the Republican Party, support has declined to 56%, marking a new low, the survey states.
