Trump biggest fan of martial artist Khabib, says veteran MMA manager

US President Donald Trump is the biggest fan of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, according to veteran MMA manager Ali Abdel-Aziz.

Speaking on the Pound 4 Pound Show, Abdel-Aziz said Trump holds Nurmagomedov in particularly high regard alongside American fighter Justin Gaethje, Caliber.Az reports.

"I think, the President of US love two fighters more than everybody: Justin Gaethje and Khabib. He is the biggest Khabib fan. I was like, 'Why you like him so much?' He said, 'I put him in my book,'" Abdel-Aziz noted.

Nurmagomedov retired from mixed martial arts in 2021 with a perfect professional record of 29 wins and no defeats.

He was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022.
