Trump calls for Israel, Iran to halt attacks

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Israel and Iran to immediately cease hostilities amid escalating tensions between the two countries.

“Israel and Iran must immediately stop ‘shooting,’” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, Caliber.Az reports.

Earlier, Trump held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which he urged Israel not to carry out retaliatory strikes against Iran following recent exchanges of missile fire.

The U.S. president also emphasised that Washington would not take part in any potential Israeli military operation against Iran.
