Trump calls for reform of US electoral system
US President Donald Trump has called for sweeping changes to the country’s electoral system, claiming that elections in the United States are fundamentally flawed.
In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump alleged that American elections have been rigged and undermined, warning of severe consequences if reforms are not implemented, Caliber.Az reports.
“America’s Elections are Rigged, Stolen, and a Laughingstock all over the World. We are either going to fix them, or we won’t have a Country any longer,” the American leader wrote.
To address the issue, Trump urged Republicans to pass what he described as the “Save America Act.” The proposed legislation would require voters to present identification, mandate proof of citizenship when registering to vote, and significantly restrict the use of mail-in voting.
